Sleaford shoppers are in for a treat as a new handmade chocolate store and cafe is set to open on April 3, following a £12,000 investment.

Henderson’s Cocoa House will create unique handmade chocolates on site at Bristol Arcade, in the former Cake Hole.

The store has been fully refurbished in a vintage and cosy style, fitted with commercial kitchen equipment, ready to make the tasty treat.

El Richardson and Al Henderson, co-owners of the new venture, will be offering local sourced Stokes Coffee and a hot chocolate menu in addition to the handcrafted chocolates.

So far the business has created one part time job with intentions to increase this in the near future.

El said: “It started as a hobby, making chocolates at home for family and friends, we were really inspired by a shop in Scotland that we visit whenever we go up.

“They make all their own chocolates in house and thought we could do the same in England.

“Many shops that sell artisan chocolates in the county, buy them in from as far away as Belgium, whereas our chocolates will be hand made on site using fresh ingredients.

“Customers can expect a selection of luxury artisan chocolates, all hand made on site.

“Stokes coffee and teas will be available as well as a hot chocolate menu, made from our molten Belgian chocolate.

“All to either take away or sit and enjoy in our cosy, vintage style shop.”
