Night-time closures of the A52 at the junction with the B1449 in Mumby will begin next week.

The week-long roadworks will start on Monday, March 13, to allow contractors to carry out junction alterations and resurfacing.

The closure will be in place from 7pm to 6am each day.

Signed diversions will be in place.

A pedestrian route will be maintained at all times.

Councillor Richard Davies, responsible for highways at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “As part of the improvements being made, the shape of the junction is being changed as a way of slowing vehicles down before leaving the A52.

“In addition, we’ll also be removing and replacing the current islands within the junction with a central island.

“These improvements, along with resurfacing to replace road material that is nearing the end of its serviceable life, will make the junction much safer for all road users.

“We will do everything we can to minimise disruption and ask for your continued patience while these works are carried out.”
