An inquest into the deaths of a husband and wife found at their home will open today.

As previously reported, the bodies of 50-year-olds Lawrence and Bernice Williams were discovered by police at their property on Colley’s Gate earlier this month.

Officers first discovered Lawrence Williams on April 7, with specialist teams finding his wife two days later.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “Post mortem examinations have been carried out but cause of death has yet to be established for Mrs Williams, while it is believed Mr Williams took his own life.

“Investigating officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

“A file is being prepared for the coroner.”
