Police taser man who became a ‘danger to the public’

Lincolnshire Police have tasered a man in Boston following reports that he had become a danger to the public.

Officers were called to Spilsby Road at 11.45am on Friday, April 28, in response to reports of concern for the welfare of a man.

Police said that on arrival the man was in an increasingly agitated state and becoming a danger to the public.

Officers then “subdued” him by using a taser.

He was detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital for appropriate care.

Police are treating this under incident number 177 of April 28.
