A UK-wide touring cheese festival is set to start mouths watering in Lincoln as it makes its way to the city.
Cheese Fest UK, which is described by organisers as the biggest touring cheese festival in the country, will be making a stop at the Engine Shed in Lincoln on Saturday, September 2, 2017.
Visitors are being told they can expect some of the ‘cheesiest cheeses in the world’, including melted raclette, cheese wheels, gooey mozzarella sticks and a selection of cheesy dishes and bites from UK producers.
A particularly popular craze, melted raclette dishes involve whole wheels of cheese which are melted at the edges and slathered lavishly over a variety of dishes.
Organisers said: “Hosted at the amazing Engine Shed, join us as we transform the iconic venue for a day of the cheesiest delights going!
“From traditional cheeses to mozzarella sticks, halloumi fries and the most amazing mac and cheese.
“Expect to learn about all types of cheese, wines and the best beers that go along with those cheeses at a day that will melt you into a deep love of all things cheese.”
All ages are welcome, although under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.
