An 18-year-old man has had his bike stolen in a street robbery in Grimsby.

The victim was riding his bike on Hainton Avenue between the junctions of Catherine Street and Margaret Street at around 10.30pm on May 1, when he was approached by an unknown man.

The man pushed the bike, causing the victim to fall to the floor, before stealing the bike and riding away.

The suspect was described as being black, 6ft 3ins, slim build and aged mid to late 20s.

He was wearing a black or dark blue woollen hat, a dark coloured jacket, Adidas navy tracksuit bottoms with three stripes on and orange/brown coloured Timberland style boots.

The bike is a blue and orange Cube bicycle.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “We are keen to hear from anyone with any information that could assist us, particularly a woman who was walking behind the cyclist and helped the victim after the robbery.
