Trains between Stevenage and Grantham were suspended this morning after a man was stood on a bridge overlooking the railway line.

The incident happened at around 7.15am on Wednesday, May 31 in Peterborough.

Police were called following reports that a man was stood on a bridge above the railway and there were concerns for his welfare.

The lines were suspended while officers brought the man to safety.

He is now safe and being given support.
