Search and rescue helicopter scrambled after reports of person in water off Lincolnshire coast

A search and rescue helicopter and lifeboat were scrambled following reports of a person in the water off the Lincolnshire coast.

The coastguards took a 999 call at around 7.45pm on Sunday, May 14 following reports of a person in the water near Moody Lane.

Emergency services including, Cleethorpes RNLI, Cleethorpes and Donna Nook Coastguards, UK Search and Rescue and Humberside Police, were called to search the waters in the area.

A thorough search from the harbour to Immingham docks was carried out, but no body was found.

The search ended at around 10.30pm.
