Update: Bethany Shorter has been found safe and well.

Friends and family of a 14-year-old girl from Branston are appealing for help from members of the public after she went missing over the weekend.

Bethany Shorter was last seen at 12pm on Sunday, June 4 at her home in Branston when she told her family she wanted to go for a walk.

Concerned family members have posted an appeal on Facebook and friends have told The Lincolnite she hasn’t been seen or heard from.

She was wearing black jeans, a pink zip up hoody, grey Sketcher trainers and wore her hair in two french plaits.

Family friend Zoe Crawford said: “Bethany can be vulnerable and is unaware of dangers that are around her.

“Please share and let us know of any information you might have.”

Lincolnshire Police have been made aware of the disappearance and are said to have been searching the area through the night.

Anyone who thinks they may have seen Bethany, or knows where she is, is being asked to call the non-emergency police number 101, quoting incident number 475 of June 4.
