Lincoln by the Sea, one of the city’s hottest annual attractions, will return to City Square next month.

Tonnes of real seaside sand will make its way to the city centre, along with traditional deckchairs and children’s beach toys and rides.

The beach will open on Monday, July 17 at 9am with plenty for youngsters to look forward to including a range of activities and appearances by Punch & Judy.

The beach will be open until Monday, September 4.

Lincoln BIG Events & Promotions Manager Michael Armstrong told The Lincolnite: “We are really looking forward it coming back again, if we get the weather we have now it will be amazing!

“It works really well and is always a big crowd pleaser. I love to see people’s faces when they walk past Wilkinsons and suddenly see a beach!

“You don’t have to go to Skegness for a beach holiday, you can come to Lincoln by the Sea!”

The beach is free to attend, however there will be some charges for the children’s rides.
