Armed Forces Day has become one of the biggest dates in the Cleethorpes’ calendar, with thousands of visitors expected to attend the main event on July 1.
Taking place from June 30 – July 2 on Alexandra Road, the event, which is in its ninth year, celebrates the work armed forces do.

The event in Cleethorpes has previously seen the likes of the then Prime Minister David Cameron attend in 2016.
Timetable of events
The event will see a range of activities including a parade, flypast and local entertainment and bands.
Friday, June 30: 10am to 6pm
1pm: Parade from Market Street to Cambridge Street
Interactive displays throughout the day
6.30pm: Sunset Ceremony
Evening entertainment at the Armed Forces Gate
Fireworks Finale
Saturday, July 1: 10am to 10.30pm (approx)
10am: Stalls and charity areas open to the public
12pm: Artiez Club: Choir (Remembrance Gate)
1pm: Parade gun fires, marking the start of the parade from Market Street to Cambridge Street / Knoll Street
Interactive displays throughout the day.
2.15pm (subject to change): – BBMF Display
2.30pm: RAF College Band (Remembrance Gate)
4pm: Local entertainment and bands around the Armed Forces Gate
7.30pm onwards: Evening entertainment at the Armed Forces Gate
9pm: Balloon night glow at the Leisure Centre car park.
10.25pm (approx): Fireworks Finale

A spokesperson for the North East Lincolnshire Armed Forces Day event said: “Following the complete success of the eighth Armed Forces Day National Event 2016 in North East Lincolnshire at Cleethorpes, we intend to secure its legacy and continued support for our Armed Forces across the region.
“It is intended to deliver a safe and secure event to thank our Armed Forces past and present with involvement from all Service Cadet Forces.”
