What to expect at the 2017 Heckington Show

Thousands of people are expected at the 150th anniversary of the Heckington Show which will showcase a variety of fun activities, food and agriculture in the two-day event.

Known as ‘the largest village show in England’, the show near Sleaford will take place on Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30.

The show is a registered charity and is run by a group of volunteers and last year over 30,000 people attended the event.

Where is it?

The Heckington Show will take place at the Hall Grounds, Heckington, NG34 9JF.

Car parking is free at the showground and mobility scooter hire is also available.

Getting there

By car

Heckington is five miles to the east of Sleaford on the A17. The Showground is clearly signposted.

For Sat Nav purposes the main entrance postcode is: NG34 9RA

By train

Heckington Station is a five minute walk from the showground. It is served by East Midlands Trains from Nottingham, Grantham, Lincoln, Sleaford, Boston & Skegness and intermediate stations.

A whole host of events are to take place across the two days, including a firework display on the Saturday night.

  • Grand Parade of Livestock

Tickets

Tickets for the Heckington Show can be purchased online. Ticket prices are:

Two-day weekend ticket

  • Adults £15
  • 5-17 year olds £5
  • 4 and under free

One-day ticket

  • Adults £9
  • 5-17 year olds £3
  • 4 and under free

The firework display is included in two-day weekend tickets and day tickets if attended on the Saturday.
