Appeal for witnesses after alleged assault in Grimsby which saw man bitten

The man sustained bruising and bite marks to his head and scratches to his face and arms.

Police have appealed for witnesses after a man who stepped in to stop a heated argument between a man and a woman was alleged to have been assaulted as a result.

A couple were seen to be arguing and allegedly physically fighting near Pasture Street level crossing near to Halfords at around 7pm on August 24.

A 24-year-old man stepped in to stop the fight but has alleged that he was then assaulted by a man.

He sustained bruising and bite marks to his head and scratches to his face and arms in the assault.
