Far-right National Front to hold march in Grantham this weekend

A counter-demonstration will also be held.

The far-right National Front is set to hold a rally in Grantham tomorrow.

Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that the extreme right-wing group will be marching in Grantham Market Place from 2pm on Saturday, August 19.

A post on their Facebook page did not even reveal the place of the march, only referring to it as a place in the East Midlands off the motorway with excellent rail links.

The National Front has no elected representatives at any level of UK government.

A counter-demonstration titled ‘No to the Nazi National Front in Grantham!’ is being held by Unite Against Fascism.

In a statement, a Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said that they were aware of the planned march and would be monitoring.
