Guy Martin to drive WW1 tank through Lincoln on Remembrance Day

He will travel through Lincoln in a tank.

After Guy Martin’s unexpected visit to Lincoln last week, it has been revealed the Lincolnshire daredevil will visit the city once again on Remembrance Day.

The road racer will take a slower route through Lincoln on November 11 as he travels down the High Street in a WW1 tank.

At the time of writing, the City of Lincoln Council are making final preparations for the tank to safely travel down High Street, however a spokesperson for the council did confirm the tank would need to be in place on High Street at 10.40am.

The replica mark IV British tank will feature in Guy’s latest TV documentary for Channel 4.

The documentary will look development of the machines, with the WW1 tank having strong roots in Lincoln .

This comes after the tv star was spotted around Lincoln last week.

As previously reported, The Lincolnite reader Craig Bowness met Guy Martin on September 7 in the Magna Carta pub in Castle Hill.

He said Guy and his Channel 4 crew had lunch in the pub, where he was very patient with fans taking pictures with him.

The documentary will be aired on television at a date yet to be revealed.
