Plans for new skate park in Bourne given green light by councillors

Building work will start at a later date.

Plans for a new skate park to be built in Bourne have been approved.

The proposals were given the green light at a South Kesteven District Council development management committee meeting on Tuesday, September 19.

The free-form concrete multi-wheeled sports facility to be built on Abbey Road will now provide a major recreational facility for all ages.

It is hoped that once built, the facility will cater for a multitude of wheeled sports enthusiasts including skateboarders, roller skaters, scooter riders and BMX cycle riders.

The facility will be built largely below ground.
