Police investigation into ‘unexplained death’ in Holbeach handed over to coroner

The death is now being dealt with by the coroner.

Lincolnshire Police are not treating the unexplained death of a man in Holbeach as suspicious.

Emergency services were called to Fleet Street at shortly after 9am on Monday, September 11.

A man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death shocked the local community, with many residents telling Lincolnshire Reporter about the police presence on the street.

Claude Johnson, 32, said: “I thought that someone had been murdered. I was just shocked, especially with all the forensics dressed in white.”

The death is now being dealt with by the coroner.
