Popular French market to return to Grantham for third year later this month

A variety of French cheese, bread, sausages and crepes will be available to purchase.

The popular French market in Grantham will return later this month, with more than a dozen traders ready to sell food, fashion and goods from across the channel.

Organised by South Kesteven District Council and set at the Market Place, the event will run on Saturday, October 14 between 9am and 5pm.

An accordion player, family entertainment and vintage music will run throughout the day, where people can simply French food.

Cheese, bread, patisserie, sausages, crepes and biscuit stalls will also be on offer.

SKDC’s cabinet member for retail and the visitor economy, Councillor Nick Robins, said: “This popular market returns for a third year and we can’t wait to welcome visitors and residents alike to take full advantage of a corner of France here in Grantham.”

To run the market, Conduit Lane and the Market Place will be closed to through-traffic on the day.
