Road closed as emergency services rush to restaurant fire on Lincolnshire coast

The fire broke out earlier this morning.

A road in Chapel St Leonards has been closed following a fire at a fish and chip restaurant.

The fire broke out in the Gingham Restaurant on Trunch Lane on around 11am on Wednesday, October 11.

No one is believed to be injured.

The road is currently closed while the fire is being extinguished.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We are working with the fire and rescue service and have closed the road for the safety of the public and those at the scene.”

A Crowdfunding page has now been made to help those living above the restaurant following the blaze.
