Gainsborough singer knocked out of X Factor despite impressing judges with Wham cover

Jack & Joel were knocked out of the competition on Saturday night.

Lincolnshire singer Jack Remmington, along with bandmate Joel Fishel, were knocked out of the X Factor live shows on Saturday.

Jack & Joel had previously survived two weeks on the live show but were sent packing after finishing bottom of the public vote after singing Wham’s The Edge of Heaven.

The 22-year-olds had previously impressed the public and judges with renditions of an Ed Sheeran mash-up and covers from Dua Lipa and Camila Cabello.

After the duo were eliminated on Saturday, November 11, Jack, who went to school in Gainsborough, took to Twitter to let his followers know what the future holds for the band.

Jack & Joel were previously eliminated from the competition at the Judges’ Houses stage when they didn’t make Simon Cowell’s final three.

However, the duo won the public vote to become the Groups’ Wildcard choice to earn a spot in the live shows.
