A local man in his 30s has died following a serious collision involving two cars and a lorry on the A15 north of Lincoln.

The collision happened at around 7am on Wednesday, November 8 near to RAF Scampton.

The road was closed in both directions for the entire day between Caenby Corner and Horncastle Lane while emergency responders dealt with the incident.

Lincolnshire Police confirmed that an air ambulance had rushed to the scene, however paramedics were unable to save the casualty.

Firefighters and police were also called to the crash.

Police advised at around 5.30pm that the road would remain closed for some time.
