Man and boy, 13, charged with possession of weapon after victim attacked and hit by car

A man and boy, 13, will appear in court today.

A man and a 13-year-old boy have been charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon after a man was assaulted on the side of a Lincoln road.

Nathan Philip Baker, 38 and a 13-year-old male, who cannot be named due to his age, have been remanded, and will appear at Lincoln Magistrates Court on Tuesday, November 7.

As reported previously, police were called after the victim was hit by a car on Newark Road just after 5pm on Sunday, November 5.

Police said they believed the 43-year-old victim had been injured prior to the collision in an assault.

Officers arrested the two suspects in connection with the attack. They said they were not believed to have been involved in the collision.

The victim was hospitalised with injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.
