Vehicle pulling trailer with scaffolding crashes with car on A57

An ambulance was called to the scene.

Huge delays were reported early this morning on the A57 heading towards Lincolnshire, with an ambulance called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash.

The crash on Cliff Gate at East Markham happened at 7.25am on Monday, November 6, a Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson confirmed.

A vehicle pulling a trailer with scaffolding was involved in the crash with a car.

There were no injuries.

The road is now clear.

An eyewitness told Lincolnshire Reporter: “There was an ambulance there as well as police. I turned off to try and avoid the queues as there were huge tailbacks.

“It normally takes me 40 minutes to get to Lincoln from Retford in the morning – today it took an hour and a half.”
