Ice and some patches of snow are heading for Lincoln and Lincolnshire, Met Office forecasters have warned.

A yellow weather warning is in place for parts of Lincolnshire, particularly the east of the county, between 6pm on Wednesday, November 29 and 11am ob Thursday, November 30.

The warning for snow and ice covers Lincoln and east Lincolnshire.

Met office forecasters said: “Icy patches are likely to develop on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths or where showers cause wash off on treated roads.

“Wintry showers will bring an additional hazard and may lead to two to five centimetres of snow accumulating on ground above 100 metres, primarily over northern Scotland and northeast England.

“Some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.”
