Air ambulance called after reports of person ‘not breathing’ outside Wainfleet Library

Emergency services were called early this afternoon.

Emergency services were scrambled to Wainfleet after a patient was reported as being “unconscious” and “not breathing”.

Lincolnshire Police were called to the library on St John Street in the early afternoon of Friday, December 1.

East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the scene.

No-one was taken to hospital.

An EMAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12.04pm on December 1 to an incident outside Wainfleet Library.

“The caller reported a patient who was unconscious and not breathing.

“We sent two responders, a double crewed ambulance and the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance.

“No patients were taken to hospital.”

A police spokesperson added: “We assisted ambulance crews dealing with a patient who was seriously unwell.”

Police are dealing with the incident under incident 242 of December 1.
