Former Lincoln City footballer Bradley Wood fined for assault

He appeared in court.

Former Lincoln City FC promotion winner Bradley Wood has been fined after pleading guilty to assault.

Wood, 26, appeared before Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, December 13, following an incident at North Kesteven Sports Centre in North Hykeham on August 27.

He was fined £154, ordered to pay compensation of £100 and a victim surcharge of £30.

Wood had previously been convicted of drink driving and driving while disqualified earlier this year.

The right-back was a key figure in the Imps regaining their place in the football league after storming to the Conference championship.

Wood was also heavily involved in Lincoln’s run to the quarter finals of the FA Cup, beating clubs such as Ipswich, Brighton and Burnley, before losing 5-0 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

He currently plays for Alfreton Town in the Conference North.
