Grantham man accused of wounding victim who was left with bleed on brain

He has appeared in court.

A Grantham man accused of wounding is to appear at Lincoln Crown Court in January.

Kye Brightmore, 23, is alleged to have wounded Gareth Humphries in Grantham High Street on October 10 this year.

Brightmore, of Norton Street, Grantham, pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 18.

The prosecution allege Mr Humphries suffered a bleed on the brain and needed hospital treatment following the incident.

District Judge Peter Veits sent the case to Lincoln Crown Court where Brightmore will appear on January 15 next year.

Brightmore was granted bail on condition that he does not contact any witnesses or enter the Black Dog pub in Grantham.
