Ho ho ho! Panto stars open Santa’s grotto at Lincoln Waterside

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

Stars from The New Theatre Royal’s Aladdin pantomime opened Santa’s grotto at Lincoln Waterside Shopping Centre on Friday.

Gogglebox star Sandi Bogle, X Factor finalist Andy Abraham and CBBC’s Christ Johnson cut the ribbon to open the grotto earlier today (December 1).

The grotto will be open throughout December and will allow young children in the city to meet Santa, get a photo taken with him and receive a special gift this Christmas.

General Manager of the Waterside Shopping Centre, Dean Cross, said: “We’re really pleased with our brand new grotto this year, and it’s fantastic that we have been able to get the pantomime cast to open it.

“We’re expecting it to be really busy this weekend and over Christmas.”

Sandi told The Lincolnite: “I’m so excited and I got to meet Father Christmas!”

A snow globe is going to be added to the shopping centre tomorrow (December 2) where people will be able to take photos and enjoy snowball fights in the indoor attraction.
