Man ran out Grimsby shop after attempted robbery before nearly being knocked down by van

Police are appealing for information.

A man who ran out of a shop was nearly knocked down by a white Ford Transit van as he fled the scene.

Armed officers from Humberside Police were called to the Lifestyle Express store on Weelsby Street at around 7pm on Monday, December 18.

Police have said the attempted robber walked into the shop, threatened staff and demanded.

Nothing was stolen.

As he ran out of the store, the suspect was nearly hit in the road by a white Ford Transit van.

Police would like to speak to the Transit driver.

The would-be robber is described as white, in his late teens, 5ft 8ins in height, and slim.

He was wearing a grey Nike jacket with the hood tied tightly around his face, and blue Adidas bottoms.
