Conservative councillor to become 484th Mayor of Boston

She will take over in May.

A Conservative councillor will take over as the 484th Mayor of Boston.

Councillor Judith Skinner has accepted the nomination to become Mayor Elect and will replace UKIP’s Councillor Bernard Rush in May.

Her deputy will be Councillor Yvonne Stevens.

Councillor Skinner is chairman of the Environment and Performance Committee and vice-chairman of the Audit and Governance Committee.

She represents the Fishtoft ward and was first elected to Boston Borough Council in 2011.

Councillor Stevens represents the Trinity ward.
