Man charged with murder after woman’s body found in Scunthorpe

A murder investigation.

A 36-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman’s body was found in Scunthorpe.

Humberside Police launched a murder investigation after the body of 61-year-old Tamara Sinakova was found at an address on Tamar Walk in the town on the evening of Friday, January 5.

Rojs Avaliani was charged with murder on Sunday, January 7.

He will before Grimsby Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 8.

A 44-year-old man who was arrested has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Detective Superintendent Matt Hutchinson, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with Tamara’s family and friends, and specialist members of my team are continuing to support them.

“The family has asked to be allowed to come to terms with their loss without intrusion at this very difficult time.”
