Police investigate armed robbery at Boston shop

Armed robbery in Boston.

Two masked men stormed a shop in Boston, one armed with a knife, and stole cash from the till.

The men both had their faces covered when they entered the O & M Market Shop on Witham Place between 7.10pm and 7.20pm on Saturday, January 13.

They took money from the till, along with the till drawer before leaving the scene on bicycles.

It’s understood they fled in the direction of the Market Place.

A lone female member of staff was in the shop at the time of the robbery. Police said she was left shocked but unhurt.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses and information after an armed robbery in Boston.

“It is not believed that this incident is linked to the convenience store robbery on Vauxhall Road that took place on Friday.

“If you witnessed anything in relation to the incident, or if you you have any information that you think could help the enquiry, please call Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 365 of 13/01/2018.

“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
