Man and woman injured in Lincoln city centre hit and run

Driver arrested over hit and run.

A man and a woman were hit by a car in the early hours of Sunday in Lincoln city centre.

The incident happened on West Parade at around 3.30am on February 11 and the car fled the scene.

Police later located and arrested a 20-year-old man for providing a positive breath test and leaving the scene. He remains in police custody.

The man suffered serious but not life threatening injuries and was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

The woman was taken for treatment to Lincoln County Hospital. At this stage, police have no further details on the two people injured.

Police enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who saw the incident to call 101 quoting incident 55 of February 11.
