Take a look around new homes at The Quadrant in Boston

The most significant development in Boston for years.

A new development bringing homes, commercial premises and a new stadium for Boston United has been officially launched.

The Quadrant development south of the town centre will consist of 500 homes, with 460 jobs expected to be created by the scheme, plus an additional 600 temporary construction jobs.

Chestnut Homes, the developers behind the project, held a special launch event to celebrate the opening of the first show homes on Thursday, February 1.

Prices for houses at The Quadrant range from around £137,000 up to £275,000.

One in five of the new homes will be classed as affordable.

Plans have already been submitted for KFC and Costa to open in the housing development, which is being built on land between Tytton Lane East and the A16.

Boston United’s new stadium is set to be built on land to the east of the A16, opposite the new homes.

Construction work is currently taking place on the first two phases of the development, consisting of 147 homes.

The scheme has also today been given significant government backing of £3.5 million for a road through the development.

Managing director of Chestnut Homes David Newton said: “The project will not only bring much-needed new homes to the Boston area but boost the local economy by providing commercial infrastructure, new jobs and a brand new homes for The Pilgrims.

“We’ve got some commercial sites in planning at the minute with Costa and KFC, and some interest from other sites as well which is good.

“Having two well-known brands already submit plans to move here demonstrates the confidence that businesses have in both Boston and The Quadrant, and we anticipate that more companies will be attracted to invest in the area as the scheme progresses.

“It’s good news for Boston.”
