Arrest after man attacked in Lincoln car park toilets

A man in his 30s was injured.

A man in his 30s has been arrested after allegedly attacking another male in the toilets of Lucy Tower Car Park next to the Brayford Wharf.

The man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in relation the incident at the car park on Lucy Tower Street on Wednesday, March 21, and he is in custody, Lincolnshire Police said.

The male victim, also in his 30s, received medical attention from paramedics at the scene, but wasn’t taken to hospital.

The City of Lincoln Council, which managed the car park, said: “Earlier today there was an incident at the public toilets at Lucy Tower Street car park.

“A man was reported to be injured and our staff were able to intervene and assist.

“Emergency services were called and attended to the gentleman in question. However, he declined the offer of further treatment in hospital

“We would like to thank the emergency services and others for their invaluable assistance.”

The incident was reported to police at 12.26pm and anyone with any information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 164.
