Bin collections resume in Lincolnshire on Monday

Fingers crossed, collections will return to normal.

Waste collections in the county should  be back to normal on Monday after heavy snowfall disrupted plans over the last week.

City of Lincoln Council

Refuse and recycling collections will resume from Monday, March 5.

For anyone who was due a collection on February 28 and March 1-2, the next collections of the same waste type will take place on its scheduled date between March 14-16.

South Kesteven District Council

The SKDC refuse vehicles will not be at the Cattlemarket car park on Saturday morning.

North Kesteven District Council 

West Lindsey District Council

If your normal collection day is Monday or Tuesday, collections will be as normal, but no residual side-waste will be permitted.  If your normal collection day is Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, please present both blue and black bins for collection, they will be collected in separate vehicles.

West Lindsey District Council will collect up to two sacks of residual side-waste for those residents whose black bin was missed.

South West Ward collections of residual and recycling which were scheduled for March 1-2 will now take place on March 5 and then again Thursday and Friday March 8-9 as normal.

Commercial collections have the same catch up arrangements as households.  If you have booked a bulky waste collection the council will collect it on the day you have booked it.

East Lindsey District Council

South Holland District Council

Boston Borough Council

North East Lincolnshire Council

All general waste collections will return to normal on Monday, March 5 and the council will be working to clear the missed collections.

Missed green bin collections from last week will be collected on the following dates:

  • Wednesday’s bins on Monday, March 5
  • Thursday’s bins on Tuesday, March 6
  • Friday’s bins on Wednesday, March 7

If the council can’t collect your green bin on the day said, a scheduled return should take place within the next two days, so the bin needs to be out by 7am.

There will be no garden waste collections next week and these will return to normal on Monday, March 12.

Households can present up to three extra bags of garden waste with their next collection.

Recycling collections will return to normal on Monday, March 5.  Any households who had their collections missed Wednesday-Friday can leave extra recycling with their box on the next scheduled collection date.

Any recycling presented in bin liners will be collected. The bags will be emptied and the empty bin liners left in the boxes.

Communal collection sites that have not received a collection this week will receive an additional collection next week

Recycling Centres & ‘Bring to’ recycling banks

Bring to sites and will be emptied on Saturday March 3 and collections will be made next week.

The Customer Recycling Centres in Estuary Way, Grimsby and Queens Road, Immingham are open.
