Councillors expected to approve 145 new Deeping St James homes

Developers would contribute to health and education provisions.

Councillors in South Kesteven have been recommended to approve a new 145 home development in Deeping St James.

The plans have been submitted by London & Economic Properties for land off Linchfield Road.

South Kesteven District Council’s planning officer recommended that the application be approved subject to a section 106 agreement.

Planning approval is being sought for outline permission for the residential development with open space and car parking.

Councillors will consider the application at a Development Management Committee in Grantham on April 3.

No objections have been lodged against the application but £64,380 has been requested in local health service contributions.

The applicant would also be required to pay £877,923 towards local education if given planning permission.

The council recommended that 51 of the homes proposed be allocated to affordable housing.
