Lincoln ice cream farm to host charity outdoor cinema

Movies under the stars.

A big screen outdoor film festival will be run by St Barnabas Hospice at Daisy Made Farm this summer, with people given the chance to vote on which movies will be shown.

The charity has teamed up with popular ice cream and leisure attraction Daisy Made Farm off the A46 and Big Event Screens to run the festival between Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23.

Tickets will be available via the link here soon and sold on a donation basis.

There is no set price for the tickets, but each person will be asked to make a donation, which could go a long way to helping the charity provide better care.

£20, for example, could help pay for the care of the Hospice at Home team gives to the local community, while £100 would help to fund the exceptionally specialist care some patients need.

Gates will open at 6.30pm for an 8pm movie on what is being labelled ‘Chick Flick Friday’ before two showings the day after.

The ‘Family Fun’ movie will begin at 2pm on the Saturday, with gates opening at 12pm, before the day is rounded off with an evening classic at 8pm (gates open at 6.30pm).

In the event’s social media post they say three polls will be put up in the future for people to decide which films will be shown and for the chances to win tickets.

Hot and cold food will be available at the event, including classic cinema snacks and drinks.

For more information about the event, people can email the events team at [email protected] or call 01522 540 300.

Children will be unable to register for tickets on the website unless accompanied by a paying adult and multiple people can be registered at once if full contact details are provided.
