Man jailed for drunken behaviour and racist assault in Kirton

Michael “Cabbage” Patton has been jailed for 11 weeks.

A 28-year-old man has been found guilty and sentenced to 11 weeks in prison for a racially aggravated attack and being drunk and disorderly in Kirton.

Michael “Cabbage” Patton, of no fixed address, was convicted at Boston Magistrates Court on February 22 and sentenced on March 3.

The charges relate to February 19 and 20 where Patton was found to be drunk and disorderly on Station Road in Kirton, police said.

The accused then committed an assault on a person in a racially aggravated attack the next day before his arrest on February 20.

Sergeant Matt Dickinson of Boston Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are determined to bring people to justice who continually cause anti-social behaviour problems around the Kirton area.

“This conviction is a positive step to tell anyone who causes issues in the area that we will put you in front of the courts.

“I want to thank the local residents in the area, who have worked with us to make sure that this person has been brought to justice.

“Please keep reporting any issues to us, and we will work with you to stop any anti-social behaviour in the area.”
