Man pinned down and robbed at Scunthorpe playing fields

They pinned him down before stealing his money.

A man was allegedly assaulted and robbed of his money while walking across Everest Road playing fields in Scunthorpe.

Two men approached the victim at around 5pm on March 2 before allegedly knocking him to the ground and pinning him down, Humberside Police said.

Money and bank cards were stolen from his wallet and the victim sustained cuts to his face and a swollen right eye.

Humberside Police want to speak to two men in connection with the incident.

The men are both described as white, in their early twenties, around five feet eight tall and wearing black hooded tops.

One of the men has scruffy medium length brown hair and stubble, while the other has thick dark eyebrows and ‘acne’ spots on both cheeks.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact 101 quoting log 380 of March 2.
