Met Office predicts wet and wintry Easter weekend in Lincolnshire

Not more snow!

Lincolnshire may not be completely rid of the white stuff just yet – at least according to the Met Office, where forecasters are predicting a rather wintry Easter weekend.

Many drivers were begrudgingly reaching for their scrappers again during a frosty start on Thursday, March 29, and hoping for a more spring-like weekend.

According to the Met Office however, Lincolnshire will be mostly cloudy and cold from Friday with rain forecast for much of the day on Saturday.

Sunday is predicted to be slightly drier but cloudy throughout. Then on Monday, some wintry showers could be heading towards the county.

The current forecast warns of a 60% chance of snow during during the day on Bank Holiday Monday.

Could we be in for more snow?

Across the UK there is a mixed bag of conditions, often with cold and windy showers and long spells of rain at times.

Met Office Chief Meteorologist Andy Page said: “The Easter period will bring a variety of Spring weather from sunshine and showers, to more prolonged cloudy and wet conditions, along with some snow in the north: chiefly over the hills.

“So, there will be opportunities to get outside and enjoy the weekend, and you can use the rainfall radar on the Met Office app to keep track of where the rain is and when is best to get outdoors.”
