Special Red Arrows stamps launched for RAF centenary

Get them before they’re gone.

Icons of the Lincolnshire skies the RAF Red Arrows have been given collectable stamp status as part of commemorations for the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force.

The Royal Mail stamps were launched this month featuring the famous aerobatic display team in full flight.

The stamps will be available until March 20, 2018 online and from Post Offices nationwide.

The Red Arrows miniature sheet costs £4.10. A limited number of coin covers are also available and 100 signed versions are for sale at £149.99.

Featured on the other limited edition stamps, with artwork by aviation artist Michael Turner are the First World War era Sopwith Camel F1, the Hurricane Mk 1 from the Battle of Britain, a Vulcan B2, the Lightning F6, the Nimrod MR2 and Typhoon FGR4.

The RAF celebrates its centenary on April 1.
