Busy Lincoln High Street junction blocked by wedged transporter

Avoid Lincoln High Street for the time being.

A transporter lorry has crashed into a bollard on the corner of High Street and Dixon Street, causing significant city centre delays.

The crash happened at around 10.30am on Monday, April 16.

The lorry, which appears to have become wedged after its wheels mounted the kerb and struck a bollard, is blocking the entrance to Dixon Street.

Traffic has begun to build in the area and drivers are being diverted away from the scene.

The eastbound lane is still passable at the time of writing, but recovery is ongoing.

Some local bus services have been affected.
