Families get a taste of Lincolnshire farm life at 2018 Countryside Lincs

Check out our gallery of the fun farming event.

Hundreds of families flocked to the Lincolnshire Showground on a wet Easter holiday weekend to learn all about the ‘eggs-traordinary’ treats of farm life.

The annual Countryside Lincs event gave children the chance to explore the world of eggs, including demonstrations and egg decorating from one of the county’s biggest family-run producers LJ Fairburn and Son.

Local Lincs award-winning chef Rachel Green was even at hand to show audiences live cooking demos of pancakes, eggs curry and corn beef and egg hash.

Redhill Farm also exhibited at the hands-on event, showcasing ethically sources, free-range pork products.

There were plenty of opportunities to meet animals from White Post Farm, Rand Farm Park, the Rare Breeds Survival Trust and to explore the story of milk and dairy cows from R.V Winter and Sons.
