If You’ve Got the Love for some great indie rock music, The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe is hosting indie rock band Florence & The Machine next weekend.

The London band will head to the venue on Doncaster Road for a spontaneous gig on Sunday, May 6, starting at 7pm.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday, April 27 priced at £45 each and booking fee applies, with the maximum of two per person.

Florence & The Machine has partnered with Shelter to ensure £1 from ticketing fees goes to supporting people struggling with bad housing or homelessness.

From big hit albums to festival headliner

After three critically acclaimed albums Florence Welch became the first British female headliner at Glastonbury Festival this century when her band were the main act in 2015.

Debut album ‘Lungs’ reached number one in the UK Albums Chart in 2010

Hit song Shake It Out from the Second album ‘Ceremonials’, which entered the charts at number one in the UK and number six in America in 2011.

The most recent album ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’ was released in 2015 and topped the UK charts, as well as debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200. It reached number one in a total of eight countries.

Florence released a track ‘Sky Full of Song’ for Record Store Day in 2018 and it was released on vinyl as a 7″ on April 21.

Florence & The Machine will also headline BBC’s Biggest Weekend Festival in Swansea on Sunday, May 28.

Music isn’t her only talent though as Florence is set to release her first book ‘Useless Magic’ on July 10, which is a collection of her poetry, lyrics and artwork.
