Dr Dolittle visiting Lincoln Castle

Illyria will perform the famous story in their own style

A theatre company will be bringing the tale of Dr Dolittle to life in a family-fun production at Lincoln Castle during May half-term.

Illyria Theatre have wowed audiences across the UK and Europe, as well as in the United States and Canada, and on Wednesday, May 30 they will be in Lincoln.

Gates open at 6pm with the performance beginning at 7pm.

Tickets are already going fast and can be purchased here, priced at £13.50 for adults, £11.50 for concessions and £9.50 for children.

In the book by Hugh Lofting, Dr John Dolittle starts out as a human doctor, but a wise old parrot teaches him how to talk to animals before he comes a celebrated vet.

Illyria will perform the famous story in their own style, with wit and humour to keep the audience entertained.
