A motorcyclist from Lincolnshire has died after a crash with a car in Newcastle-under-Lyme over the weekend.
Officers from Staffordshire Police’s Collision Investigation Unit were called to the A53 at the junction with Sandy Lane at around 6.25pm on Saturday, June 23.
A blue Suzuki motorcycle was involved in a crash with a grey Peugeot 107 and the 33-year-old male motorcyclist from the Lincolnshire area died at Royal Stoke University Hospital.
The man’s family are currently being supported by specially trained officers.
Senior Collision Investigator for Staffordshire Police CIU Sergeant Richard Moors said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or seen either vehicles prior to the incident.”
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 745 of June 23.
