Water issues continue in Lincoln villages

Water supplies should return to normal by 5pm

Issues with water supplies east of Lincoln will continue until around 5pm due to a burst main which left hundreds of homes without water or with low pressure.

As previously reported, Anglian Water initially expected the problem to by fixed by around 10am, but some customers in Fiskerton, Bardney and the surrounding areas may still be experiencing very low water pressure.

The areas affected included Cherry Willingham, Fiskerton, Bardney, Southrey and Potterhanworth Booths.

Repairs are expected to have been complete by the time of writing, but disruption may continue for a short while.

Anglian Water said: “If you have no water at all, please contact us to make us aware as we are not expecting anyone to be off water completely.

“Again we’re really sorry we’ve inconvenienced you and thanks for your patience.”

After an interruption in supply, water might look a bit cloudy or discoloured when it’s back on.

Anglian Water advise to run your tap for a few minutes until it clears.

Cherry Willingham Primary School closed due to this issue this morning.

Nettleham Medical Practice posted on its Facebook page that the Cherry Willingham Surgery was closed and patients with booked appointments can be seen at the Nettleham surgery.

On the post it stated “all the available information suggests that Cherry Willingham surgery should be open as normal” on Thursday, June 14.
