The woman failed to comply with a breathalyser test

A 42-year-old woman has been charged after hitting a man in his 40s with a car near Spalding, leaving him with critical injuries and in a very serious condition in hospital.

Alison Skingsly, 42, of Thames Road in Spalding has been charged with wounding with intent and failing to comply with a breathalyser test after the incident during the evening of Sunday, June 24.

The incident involving a black Peugeot 307 happened on Common Drove near Ye Olde Bridge Inn in Crowland.

The B1166 was closed for the majority of Monday, June 25 and police advised motorists to seek alternative routes.

Alison Skingsly will appear before Lincoln Magistrates Court on Tuesday, June 26.
