Imps find out Checkatrade Trophy opponents

Can the Imps reach Wembley again?

Lincoln City will begin their defence of the Checkatrade Trophy in a group including the Under-21s of Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

As previously reported, former Imp Elliott Whitehouse was the hero as underdogs Lincoln City lifted the Checkatrade Trophy with a 1-0 victory over Shrewsbury in their first trip to Wembley in 133 years back in April.

Danny Cowley’s men will begin this year’s tournament in Group H alongside Mansfield, Scunthorpe and Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-21s.

The draw for the 2018/19 Checkatrade Trophy group stages took place live on TalkSport2 on Wednesday, July 18.
